Fifteen years ago, I saw him
Seven years ago, I begged him.

Locked in a twisted game of friends, I gave Theo Von Bremen everything.
We were reckless.
We were dangerous.
We were crazy in love.

Until he came along.

Cade breathed fire into my soul, forever changing my direction
He was my salvation.
I was his redemption.
He became my mission.

I became his Commander.

But where does that leave Theo?
Exactly where I want him.

On his knees.

If you had told me before I read this book it was a debut novel, I would not have believed you. I really enjoyed this book and seriously could not stop thinking about it hours after I finished it. It has everything you could want in a romance book- friends to lovers, military, baseball, a feel good deed, and much more! This is a mature book, so definitely do not recommend it unless you are over 18.

Something about a true bad ass turning into a complete blob of a mess when it comes to the woman he loves gets me every time. Theo is an ass, to put it point blank, but you will want to give him a big hug at the end of the book. I also enjoyed reading about Anniston and her story- she went through hell as a child, but she loves fiercely and she loves big. That’s a quality I wish to have.

At times I did think the story and some of the characters actions were a little far fetched, but I also read books for an escape, so I didn’t mind it. It is also told in alternate point of views, but again I enjoy those because I think the author can really dive into the characters and you can see a deeper side to them than if you only had one POV. Sometimes I don’t want to read about something that could happen tomorrow, but rather play along with a story and just go with it.

Anniston and Theo are the ultimate friends to lovers, the couple that you just want to shout get married already! But then Cade comes and throws a wrench in their plans. At times, I wasn’t sure who I wanted Anniston to be with, but at the end of the day she ends up with who she should be with. I can’t wait to see what is next and would recommend you picking up this book.

I give this book 4 roasting stars and would definitely go out and buy it today!

I will never forget this book because this was the first book that was sent to me by an author to review- so Kristy, you popped my review cherry and I wish you nothing but continued success!! You are going to keep rocking it!

About Kristy Marie

A self-proclaimed reader enthusiast, I started this journey back in 2009, reading and writing when my daughter was napping. I read everything I could get my hands on, finding my passion among romance authors. Establishing my place in Corporate America (because something had to pay the bills), writing became my dirty, late-night secret as opposed to my career.

After eight long years, I am days away from releasing my debut novel, Commander in Briefs. I hope you enjoy Anniston and Theo’s story. It was a long road with these guys, but I can honestly say, the road less traveled had the most beautiful sights.

Cade’s story is scheduled to release summer of 2018.
