Bad at Love, an all-new contemporary STANDALONE by New
York Times Bestselling author Karina Halle is LIVE!!!
She’s bad at love, but he’s even worse…
Marina is hot, blonde, and wickedly smart, but when it comes to men? She’s
hopeless. Between her quirks and her lack of filter, there isn’t a man in Los Angeles that will stick around after the third date.
Her handsome, charming friend Lazarus has the opposite problem. Everyone
wants to be his girlfriend, but he gets bored and moves on quickly.
There’s only one way to figure out why neither of them has cracked this love
thing– they’ll date each other. On paper, it’s the perfect experiment. But in reality, things between Marina and Laz get complicated quickly.
They might be bad at love, but they are even worse at being friends.
This friends to lovers book was a true feel good story with a little bit of hard times, but Marina and Laz’s light definitely shines through! Seriously, Karina has done it again- she has had me laughing, almost crying and smiling from ear to ear when reading this book.
I love how you can tell how much effort Karina puts into writing about her characters. Her characters, especially Marina, seem like they could be any of my friends – relate-able with some quirkiness but totally down to earth. Honestly, one of my best friends is obsessed with bees, so sorry Alysia if you are reading this, I totally pictured you as Marina the whole time! And Laz! Gosh you just want to yank him by the hair sometimes, but I was so glad when he finally came to his senses! I love how relevant her books are- it never ceases to amaze me how she finds ways to put in such timely topics. I love the flow of the book, I love the progression of their friendship to romance, and I love how you just root for both of them the whole time- whether it’s for her bee career, his poetry, or their romance. This book isn’t all fluff though, and it does touch one a few subjects that tone down the silliness of it all, but I thought the way she stitched the story together was just perfect. Also, I dare you not to sing the Halsey song the whole time you are reading it… let me know how that goes. 😉
If you want feel good with a lot of steamy romance then you should definitely read this book. Again, another one of Karina’s stories have blown me away and I cant wait to see what’s next from her.
I give this book 5 star roastings and would definitely recommend you pick up your copy (yesterday).
