Wild Card is a First book in the North Ridge Series and is a Second Chance Romance

Did you have a high school sweet heart?  Did you think that you would ever have or want the chance to get back together again?  In the first book of this series, you are introduced to “childhood best friends that turn into teenage lovers” Shane Nelson and Rachel Waters.  Their story is one that maybe we have all heard about before, but one that you never explored or entertained because how many of us get the chance at love again?

This book grabbed my attention from the start and I couldn’t put it down until I stopped it.  To give you a fair warning, their are some scenes that you will have to make sure the fan is turned on high.  However, if you can stand a little dirty read you will fall in love with Karina.  I recently found Karina Halle and this was by far one of my favorite books of hers.  I think I finished it in about 3 hours total because I just couldn’t put it down.

I love a romance story and I love a cowboy story- something about ranches and the wilderness really pulls at my heart strings as I think I would be in HEAVEN if I actually lived on a ranch.  But I actually enjoyed this book because I truly enjoyed their story.  There was some some serious frustration on both the characters and my parts.  (I really just wanted them to make up already!)  At the end of the day, it was a great book and definitely left me wanting to know more of the Nelson Brother’s stories.

Overall, I would give this book a 5 star rating and would recommend others to read it.

If you would like to purchase Wild Card, you can find it on Amazon.

Karina also has an amazing facebook group- Karina Halle’s (Anti)Heroes that you can request to join.  You can see most of her other books on there as well.

If you are on the fence, a sample of the book is worth the download.
